Our class teachers and teaching assistants job share, can we sign them both up for the training?

Yes. Please register all trainees you require for the NELI programme, to register new trainees, you can either:

  1. Log into your school’s OxEd account https://portal.oxedandassessment.com/sign-in (this can be accessed either through www.teachneli.org or www.oxedandassessment.org) and click the Trainee tab. Here you can see who at your school has been invited for training and invite new trainees. If the trainee's name is not visible at the 'Training' tab, they will need to be invited to the account as trainee in the 'Users' tab first. Please note this can be done by the owner or admins of your school’s OxEd account only. If you don’t know who that is or you think the person responsible for the account is no longer at your school – please let us know.
  2. Alternatively, click this link to complete an online form to register yourself or someone else. This by-passes the need to log into your school’s OxEd account if your account holder is unavailable.
  3. Or you can email us at support@teachneli.org and we will register your staff for you. Please include your school’s name, URN and postcode when emailing us, as well as the names, email addresses and job roles of the new trainees.

The training is provided through the FutureLearn online platform. Nominated trainees will be sent an email invitation to register for the first NELI online training course - Language Fundamentals.

If a trainee hasn’t received their invitation within 1 working day, they should check in their junk/spam/clutter folder. The email sender will be FutureLearn (please.do.not.reply@futurelearn.com) and the subject line will be “OxEd and Assessment Ltd has invited you to join an online course on FutureLearn.”

Trainees must not share or forward their invitation to anyone else, as the invitation link may only be used once, and this may prevent the registered trainee from accessing the course.

As with all the NELI online training, there is no expectation for trainees to attend at a certain time, as there are no live elements. The training can be undertaken in a self-paced manner to fit around the trainee and their school timetable.
