How do I select children for targeted intervention?

To select children for targeted intervention, start by accessing your LanguageScreen reports. In each report, you’ll find a table that ranks children by their standard scores, from lowest to highest, and uses a traffic light system to flag language concerns: red for clear concerns, amber for children who may benefit from additional support, and green for no concerns.

Almost all children will benefit from Whole Group Sessions in NELI Preschool and should be encouraged to participate in these sessions whenever possible. There may occasionally be circumstances where additional targeted support may be difficult for a child to access (for example, in the case of significant SEND needs).
