We have created proforma letters for schools to send to parents explaining that a parent can request not to have their child assessed using our apps. Please see https://support.oxedandassessment.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4407073251601-Is-there-a-letter-template-I-can-send-to-parents- for details.
If a parent has expressed concerns to you about their child being assessed, there are two options:
- If parents do not wish their child to be assessed you should not include the pupil’s data when uploading the class list. If you have already uploaded the pupil’s data, you should delete them now (see below).
- If a parent wishes for their child to be assessed, but for the data not to remain on the OxEd system, then the school can complete the assessments and then later delete the child from the system. The school, as the data controller, may delete any pupil records at any time.
To delete a child from our system please log into your account at https://oxedandassessment.com/ and navigate to the relevant class and child. Then click the Delete Pupil button. Please ensure that you have saved and printed any assessment results before you delete a pupil as these will be the only record of the assessment results once deleted. You will be warned that this is non-reversible and that all associated assessment data for this pupil will be lost.
