The LanguageScreen Assessment Report provides a table of results for all the children assessed, which indicate how good their language skills are relative to other children of their age. It will list the children in order of their language scores and provides a traffic light system to highlight which children are likely to need support in developing their language skills:
-
Green
(LanguageScreen Standard Score of 90 or above) indicates that a child’s language skills are not a cause for concern.
-
Amber
(LanguageScreen Standard Score between 82 and 89) suggests a child may benefit from support in developing their language skills.
-
Red
(LanguageScreen Standard Score below 81) suggests a child definitely needs support in developing their language skills from an evidence-based interventions such as Nuffield Early Language Intervention (NELI).
