Do targeted intervention sessions need to be delivered in a quiet room?

 Targeted intervention sessions will ideally be delivered in a space where children are able to concentrate. This may be a separate, quiet room but it can also be a section or corner of your setting, outside in a hall, a cloakroom, even outside if the weather is nice! It is up to you where these sessions are, but we do ask that thought and consideration are put into deciding the location of these so that they do permit a quieter environment and facilitates the children’s attention and engagement. Ideally the group would always meet in the same space in or close to the main room. This will support well-being and help the children embed a sense of belonging; it will also avoid practitioners moving resources around!
